ChiSpace is a product of Seizmic Enterprises (Pty) Ltd ("Seizmic Enterprises"), a company registered in South Africa (which operates the domain szmc.co.za). In this policy, "we", "us", and "our" refer to Seizmic Enterprises.
What we collect
ChiSpace collects the minimum data needed to provide you with a personalised feng shui analysis:
- Email address — used for authentication and transactional emails (e.g. password resets).
- Floor plan data — room layouts, fixtures, compass orientation, and analysis results you create in the planner.
- Birth year and gender (optional) — used solely for Kua number and Eight Mansions calculation. These values are stored on your floor plan and are never shared with third parties.
- Subscription & billing data — your tier (free or premium), whether you have purchased the one-time report, your subscription start, renewal, and cancellation dates, and the subscription and customer identifiers issued by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
- Contact-form messages — when you message us through the Contact form, we store the email address you provide, the category, the message text, and a reference number. If you are signed in at the time, we also link the message to your account identifier so we can assist you faster.
- Technical & usage data — limited information such as your IP address and browser or device type, recorded in our hosting and security logs to operate and protect the Service.
Why we collect it
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To save, retrieve, and analyse your floor plans.
- To calculate your personal Kua number (when birth year and gender are provided).
- To manage your subscription and unlock premium features.
- To respond to your support requests and keep a record of our correspondence.
How it is stored
Your data is stored in Supabase (hosted PostgreSQL infrastructure). For offline use, a copy of your active floor plan may also be held in your browser's localStorage. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and encrypted at rest. Payment and billing details are handled directly by our payment processor (see below) and are never stored on our servers.
Third-party services
We use a small number of trusted services to operate ChiSpace:
- Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure.
- Google — OAuth sign-in (if you choose to sign in with Google).
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Polar — payment processing. Polar (Polar Software, Inc.) acts as our Merchant of Record, handling checkout, billing, taxes, and card data. Payment information is provided directly to Polar and is governed by their privacy policy.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third parties.
Data retention
- Active accounts — your data is retained for as long as your account remains active.
- Cancelled premium — floor plan data is retained for 12 months after cancellation. After that, plans beyond the free-tier limit are archived.
- Inactive accounts (18+ months) — floor plan data is deleted. Your account shell (email and auth record) is retained so you can sign in again.
- Contact-form messages — retained for up to 24 months to handle your enquiry and for a reasonable record of support correspondence, then deleted.
Your rights
Under South Africa's POPIA and the EU's GDPR (where applicable), you have the right to:
- Access your personal data.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your data and account.
- Export (portability) your floor plan data.
- Object to processing where applicable.
Your right to deletion may be subject to limited exceptions where we are required by law to retain certain records (see below).

Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from your Account settings. This promptly and permanently removes your personal data, floor plans, and analysis results, and cannot be undone. We may retain a limited set of transaction and tax records where the law requires us to (for example, financial-record and tax-retention obligations), for no longer than the law requires, after which they are also deleted. Payment records held by our payment processor (Polar) are subject to Polar's own retention obligations.
Cookies
ChiSpace uses only essential cookies and browser local storage required to keep you signed in, remember your subscription state, and hold a working copy of your active floor plan. We do not use tracking, analytics, or third-party advertising cookies. Polar's secure checkout may set its own cookies necessary to process payments.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
